SECTION II – FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD DATA

Flash Point (Test Method):                   65* C (PMCC)

                                                            This Flashpoint results from the presence of a small quanity of isopropyl alcohol (less than 1%);

                                                            the product is nonflammable.

Extinguishing Media:                             Water

Special Fire Fighting Procedures:          Wear full face, self-contained breathing apparatus and impervious protective clothing.  Evacuate

non-essential personnel from the area.  The fiberboard boxes contain plastic containers, so cool

with a water spray to avoid container rupture.  The breakdown products resulting from high heat

are irritating to the respiratory tract and may cause breathing difficulty and pulmonary edema.

Run off from fire control of dilution with water may cause pollution or contamination of building,

                                                            grounds and equipment.

SECTION III – REACTIVITY DATA

These products are stable under normal sgtorage conditions.

Avoid mixing with acidic material as evolution of Hydrogen Sulfide may occur.

The POWDER may decompose on exposure to bases.

The LIQUID is corrosive to brass, copper, zinc and aluminum.

The product will decompose in extreme heat.  There is no idication of hazardous polymerization.

SECTION IV – HEALTH HAZARD DATA

The principal routes of exposure are skin contact, eye contact or inhalation.  Irritation may result from skin or eye contact with either the LIQUID or the POWDER.

No data have been identified which address medical conditions that are generally recognized as being aggravated by exposure to this product.

FIRST AID:

Eye contact:                                        Flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention if eye irritation persists.

Skin contact:                                       Immediately remove contaminated clothing or shoes and flush with plenty of water to avoid skin

irritation. Inhalation in confined spaces, such as tanks and manholes:  Remove to fresh air.

If breathing has stopped start artificial respiration procedures, and get medical attention immediately.

Ingestion:  Give several glasses of water.  Do not induce vomiting.  Get medical attention immediately.

These materials are not listed in accepted cancer registries, such as NTP or IARC.

SECTION V – SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES

Use appropriate safety equipment when dealing with spills or leaks.  Add absorbtivee granules, such as litter, and sweep up the absorbants.  Place in a waste disposal container for safe and legal disposal.  Then clean area with a minimum amount of water.

For container disposal, triple rinse the containers and place rinse water into the application equipment solution tank or sanitary sewer manholes.  Puncture or cut container in three places and dispose of container in a sanitary landfill.  Ensure that all federal, state and local regulations for disposal are followed.

Do not hose spillage onto adjacent planted areas.  These herbicides may adversely affect desirable lawns, shrubs or trees.  Foam should be shoveled off planted aresas immediately.

SECTION VI – SPECIAL HANDLING INFORMATION

Skin Protection:                                    Avoid skin contact with this material for it can be a severe skin irritant if not washed off.  Use

gauntiet-type unlined rubber gloves and long-sleeved shirts.

Respiratory Protection:                         Avoid breathing vapor or mist.  Use a self-contained breathing apparatus in confined spaces, such

as tanks and manholes.  Ensure good ventilation in manufacturing and use areas.  A NIOSH/MESHA

approved pesticide respirator with pre-filter is useful to avoid mists or dust fumes.  Examples of

NOSH/MSHA respirators for this use are:

                                                            Wilson TC-23C-751, TC-23C-747, TC-23C-791 and TC-23C-792

                                                            North TC-23C-74/190

                                                            Easi-Care (3M) #7300S NSN 4240-01-246-5404

This equipment must be worn if a pugent sulfurous odor persists.  Always read respirator instrustion

booklet  for your personal respirator before using.

Other:                                                  A large volume of water (10 gallons or more) should be available to wash any spills off personnel.
